  24.     ACE, babe, that's a pretty broad and un-informative statement.  WHAT is 
  25. it that you like about SI that you'd enjoy in LW?

  27.     I can tell you that I was intrigued by the way the SI >toggle/select< 
  28. functionality was buried in a fast hierarchy:  you can get to it, toggle or 
  29. select, and get out very fast.

  31.     Just recently a pet peeve of mine (once it had occured to me>8^\ ) is 
  32. that there is no reason the Lightwave TARGET and PARENT buttons should 
  33. _bring_up_lists:  why don't they just CHANGE into the list itself?  This is one 
  34. of the (minor) faults with the LW interface: sometimes there's a lot of mouse 
  35. real estate to scamper across, and you find yourself clicking, IMNSHO, a lot of 
  36. OK/CANCEL buttons.  This is especially prevalent in the Surface panels.

  38.     Note that Allen is an innovative GUI designer:  I believe that he 
  39. INVENTED the "mini-slider" that Lightwave now uses.  (Corrections welcome.)  
  40. This was a GREAT real-estate saver--there's now no good reason to have an entire 
  41. numerical slider, and Allen H. showed the way.
